Anger at Gulf Oil Spill Continues to Grow

Oil spills suck, and obviously have no winners whatsoever. In this case, it is damaging the environment, has instituted a new policy of not drilling offshore, and worst of all, it is being politicized by the Obama administration. As the gusher continues to spew on the gulf floor, it seems that the government is pointing their finger at BP, as opposed to helping to solve the problem.

Stop politicizing the spill and DO SOMETHING!

Here is a thought Obama administration. Get off your ass and stop blaming BP, and start doing everything in your power to fix this damn leak! Are you telling me that the United States, with all of it’s technology and innovation, can’t come up with one single thing to help? Why the hell have we created a bureaucracy for every little idea, like a “Green Jobs Czar”, and get on the ball with a solution for this problem.

New Poll Finds Spill Anger Growing

More than a month after the gulf oil spill, most Americans find BP’s handling of the situation as severely lacking. However, BP isn’t the only one drawing fire about the spill. Americans disapprove of the Obama administration’s handling of the spill, according to a new CBS News poll.

According to CBS News:

Seven in 10 of those polled disapprove of how BP has handled the spill. Forty-five percent disapprove of the Obama administration’s handling of the spill while 35 percent approve. President Obama’s overall job approval rating is 47 percent while 43 percent express disapproval.

The telephone poll, conducted Thursday through Monday with 1,054 adults, has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Is this the Excuse Obama Needs to Cease Drilling Offshore?

Over the past decade, the oil and gas industry has been demonized by the people on the left as no industry ever has…..maybe with the exception of the tobacco industry.  However, oil and gas are not only a vital part of the U.S. economy, but they also are a key component of the overall security of the United States itself. After all, don’t forget that way back in the 1940′s, it is believed that the Japanese attacked the U.S as the result of an oil embargo.

Obama would rather golf than come up with a solution

So if oil and gasoline is so important, why on earth would we start to cut back on exploration and drilling offshore? You know that all of the other countries currently drilling in the gulf sure as hell aren’t going to quit their own oil efforts. However, since we are obviously so cautious about public perception about anything, why don’t we get to the root cause.

You know the sad thing……..Obama won’t do a thing until this problem is fixed. He played golf twice this week since he was obviously so concerned. When it is resolved, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the President take credit for stopping it after the fact….

The government will use this as a example of all that’s wrong with drilling, when it is in fact a perfect example of all that’s wrong with government. And now it comes to light that BP had a part in writing the cap and trade law (now The American Power Act).
